March 20, 2010 | “Arresting The Most Violent Criminals…The Criminal Apprehension Team” with David Stansbury of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.

He has been with the LVMPD since March of 1988. He was on the first Bicycle Team in May, 1990, and was there until he was promoted to sergeant in March, 1993. He spent a year in patrol before taking over a field training squad in 1994.  In September, 1996, he became a detective sergeant in the gang unit working drive-by shootings and gang crimes.

In November, 2004, he was transferred to the Career Criminal Section as a supervisor for the ROP team…Repeat Offender Program.  ROP identifies the most prolific criminals and targets them for prosecution after arrest, as well as conducting surveillance on known offenders on a regular basis and arresting them upon the commission of a crime.

In January, 2006, he was transferred to the Criminal Apprehension Team, a federal task force put together by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to target the most violent criminals in our jurisdiction.
